Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives and Marketing, Chief of Staff
Kyle Delaney is executive director of strategic initiatives and marketing, serving as the chief marketing and communications officer for the McCormick School of Engineering and as chief of staff to the dean.
His responsibilities include oversight over brand strategy and creative, enrollment marketing, executive communications, media relations, event management, and internal communications. As chief of staff to the dean, he oversees strategic initiatives to implement the overall strategy of the school, including support for new program and degree development, planning activities, and integration between units.
In his current role he has led a comprehensive rebranding of Northwestern Engineering, articulating Northwestern’s “whole-brain engineering” approach and leading significant improvements in media coverage of engineering research at Northwestern. He has also driven the development of new collaborative initiatives, such as activities at the interface of art and engineering.
Kyle has been part of the McCormick School of Engineering team since 2005, working in a variety of roles in marketing and communications prior to his current position. He is a proud alumnus of Butler University, where he served as President of the Alumni Association and University Trustee.
