Yonggang Huang has been selected to receive the Paidoussis Medal from the Royal Society of Canada. This is the highest prize in mechanics from Canada.

The Michael P. Païdoussis Medal is awarded for outstanding contributions to research, education, and leadership in applied mechanics.

Yonggang Huang is a pioneer for two transformative technologies—stretchable electronics, and deterministic 3D assembly. His vision laid the scientific foundations in these areas leading to important applications in bio-integrated/bio-inspired electronics and medicine. The profound impact he has had on engineering science has led to his election as a member of the US National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Sciences, and a foreign member of the Royal Society.

This year's award winners will be honored during the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, November 9, 2024, as part of the 2024 RSC Celebration of Excellence and Engagement.
