Northwestern/Tel Aviv University Workshop
Advanced Materials for the Future: Processing, Characterization and Applications
Northwestern University’s Evanston Campus
May 20-23, 2024
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are delighted to welcome you to the fifth Northwestern University–Tel Aviv University Workshop, entitled "Advanced Materials for the Future: Processing, Characterization and Applications." We are extremely proud to continue this tradition, following the previous workshops held at TAU (2015), NU (2016 and 2018) and TAU (2022). This year, the largest such meeting to date is being held on the Evanston campus of Northwestern University.
Thanks to the frontal meetings, social events, and discussions during previous workshops, significant links have been created between our two institutions; this has led to joint publications, research grants, and exchanges at all faculty levels, including principal investigators, research students and postdocs.
We appreciate the generous support from Lester Crown for this joint workshop. We are also grateful for the support of the Iby and Aladar Fleischman Faculty of Engineering and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Tel Aviv University, as well as the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science.
We wish all attendees a highly productive, stimulating, and enjoyable workshop.
Yours respectfully,
David N. Seidman,
Department of Materials Science & Engineering (Northwestern University)
Michael J. Bedzyk,
Department of Materials Science & Engineering and Physics (Northwestern University)
Ariel Ismach,
Department of Materials Science and Engineering (TAU)
