Theory and implementation of fundamental techniques for 3D rasterization. Topics include: linear algebra
geometry, 3D camera motion, model and mesh construction, mathematical 3D animation, and introductory
lighting with rasterization.
- This course satisfies the Interfaces Breadth & project requirement.
COURSE GOAL: After taking CS 351-1, a student should be able to:
- Read WebGL API specifications and have familiarity with basic WebGL functionality
- Explain the use of linear algebra and standard mathematical operations in computer graphics
- Manipulate simple animations and camera movements
- Apply rasterized lighting techniques to computer graphics programs with GLSL
