Cameran graduated with honors from Augustana College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, and Applied Mathematics. While at Augustana, Cameran was a four-year varsity athlete on the swim team, as well as percussion section leader, and a four-year member of both the Concert Band and Percussion ensemble. Cameran was the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Student in Data Analytics, was a member al-Khwarizmi Honors Society, and served as a student ambassador for the Data Analytics major. Courses in Math Modeling and Machine Learning inspired Cameran to pursue a Masters in Analytics* at Northwestern University. In addition to her coursework, Cameran was a Student Data Analyst for Augustana College where she utilized SPSS and Microsoft Access. Some of the tasks performed were cleaning and joining data, conducting quantitative analysis from surveys and external data sources, and creating reports that assisted the college in making administrative, business, marketing, and financial decisions. Cameran also had the opportunity to expand her analytical skills in supply chain logistics and utilize additional computative applications as a Student Trainee for the Army Sustainment Command, ORSA division, at the Rock Island Arsenal. Using an Army proprietary analytics platform, she gained further experience in the analysis and manipulation of data with R, Contour, Java Script, Python, and SQL. She presented her work regularly to superior staff and officers and created new code that increased productivity and responsiveness of divisions within the United States Army. Cameran is excited to gain valuable hands-on experience alongside her cohort who shares her enthusiasm for Data Analytics through the Northwestern MSiA program. She hopes to gain expanded knowledge in analytical forward-facing tools like Machine Learning, Virtual Reality, and Artificial Intelligence. She looks forward to exploring additional industries and applications of data through the summer internship and capstone projects.
