Muhammet Ali Buyuknacar graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a bachelor’s in Management Engineering. During his undergraduate degree, he had to chance to find his area of interest and obtain the relevant foundations for data science by taking statistics, programming, and data analysis courses and writing a graduation thesis using data science applications to the finance domain. After taking a deeper dive into data science through an internship followed by a full-time work experience at Turkish Airlines Technology as a data analyst/engineer and undertaking a machine learning bootcamp conducted by Google Developers Turkey, he had gained a better understanding of the concepts and pivoted his area of interest towards natural language processing. To further strengthen his background and gain practical experience, Muhammet Ali joined the MLDS program at Northwestern University. He is looking forward to pursuing his passion for data science and linguistics and hoping to work towards good causes.
