People / Students / Class of 2024
I recently graduated from Northwestern University, majoring in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences and minoring in Computer Science. On campus, I was heavily involved in research. I worked with Professor David Morton to develop a COVID-19 staged alert system that was implemented in Austin, Texas. I assisted research in the SONIC Lab, Wastewater Management Group, and National Bureau of Economics. I was also the Quantitative Golf Lead at Northwestern’s Sport Analytics Group and Outreach Chair at the Industrial Engineering Student Board. Most recently, I worked as a Data Science Summer Analyst at the Blackstone Group in New York. I applied gradient boosting and large language models to private equity and infrastructure use cases, developing automated tools used by deal teams and presenting to senior executives. The previous summer, I was a Quantitative Research Summer Analyst at Cboe Global Markets in Chicago. I have also interned as a Data Scientist at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. I am excited about the MLDS program. I hope to deepen my technical skillsets in machine learning, NLP, data engineering, and deep learning. My goal is to become a leader in ML and AI who integrates quantitative theory with real business impact.
