I finished my undergraduate education in New York University in 2023 with a bachelor of art in Mathematics and Computer Science. My undergraduate education builds me a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and programming. I developed analytical and logical thinking during those studies and I acquired practical and technical skills. I can code in Python, Java, C, SQL, and Rust. Among fields in Computer Science, I specialized myself in machine learning and data science. I am familiar with applications for processing big data such as Hadoop, Hive, and Spark. During my internship in Ping An Property Insurance, I applied these skills to process big data according to my company's demand. I am able to build various regression and classification models as well as neuron networks. I have taken courses and also worked in the real industries in some fields of application of machine learning, such as Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision. I once worked as a machine learning engineer in the internet healthcare department in Baidu, an internet giant in my home country China. There, I built and applied machine learning models based on BERT and the attention mechanism for data mining in the Internet Healthcare industry. I achieved a recall as high as 98% in a task to extract the doctors' skills from their descriptions. These internship experiences let me get in touch with the real world industries and strengthen my will to be an excellent data scientist.Both my education experience and job experience enable me to be a member of such an intelligent community as MLDS. I am very excited to be a student in MS in Machine Learning and Data Science. In this renowned master program, I am looking forward to studying cutting-edge technologies and interacting more with real industries. I will continue to work hard and prepare myself to be a competitive data scientist and machine learning engineer.
