Wenfei graduated in Statistics & Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Wenfei's academic journey has been driven by a fascination with data-driven solutions for business problems. Through internships and relevant coursework in data science, she has discovered a passion for data analysis and machine learning, embracing the challenge of tackling diverse issues. During her undergraduate studies, Wenfei honed her technical skills through internships and research experiences. At Home Depot, she utilized Python for data cleaning before inserting the data into Google Cloud Platform (GCP). She then employed SQL to extract and manipulate data from GCP and used Tableau to create dashboards that provided valuable insights. Additionally, Wenfei conducted independent research on COVID-19 Airbnb Price Prediction, further enhancing her Python coding and machine learning algorithm skills. Her coursework in Computer Science solidified her programming abilities in Java, Python, R, C++, and SQL, while her Statistics courses deepened her understanding of Calculus, Discrete Structures, Statistical Analysis, and Probability. Beyond her technical expertise, Wenfei developed essential soft skills through collaborative projects and internships. At Home Depot, she worked closely with team members from various departments, refining her communication skills and learning to incorporate diverse feedback. This experience also nurtured her leadership qualities, essential for guiding projects to success. Wenfei's combined academic background, practical experiences, and interpersonal skills have equipped her to contribute effectively to dynamic teams and drive innovation in data-driven problem-solving.
