Jiayuan Zheng graduated from Tsinghua University with a major in Information Management and Information Systems and a minor in Statistics. His academic journey was marked by exceptional performance. At Tsinghua, Zheng honed his skills in statistical modeling, data analysis, and programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL. Professionally, Zheng worked as a Strategy Product Manager at Meituan Technology. In this role, he lead projects involving causal inference and the eCPC discount system. By implementing a new attribution method, he successfully transitioned the discount system from oCPC to eCPC, leading to a 95% reduction in negative feedback and a 67.7% increase in advertiser ROI. His contributions resulted in over 30% of advertisers adopting the new attribution approach. Before this role, Zheng interned at Meituan, where he improved ad user retention by 23.8% through user behavior analysis and introducing the K-seconds retention rate matrix. Zheng's research experience at Tsinghua University further showcases his expertise. He developed a practical algorithm for optimizing battery swapping station operations and explored the impact of video creators' statements on user engagement. His research has been published in the proceedings of the China Automation Conference (CAC 2022). Now at Northwestern University, Zheng aims to deepen his understanding of machine learning and data science, leveraging his background and professional experience to tackle complex data challenges and drive impactful innovations.
