Lanfeng (Lance) Zheng is a dedicated data scientist with a strong academic background and diverse professional experiences. He graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics – Quantitative Finance from the University of Toronto Scarborough, maintaining a GPA of 3.83/4.0 and earning a spot on the Dean's List. Lance's coursework included Machine Learning, Stochastic Processes, and Time Series Analysis, and he served as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Probability and Statistics. Professionally, Lance has excelled as a Data Scientist Co-op at Ontario Lottery and Gaming, where he developed an XGBoost predictive model with 80% accuracy, significantly reducing player identification timelines and projecting an annual revenue increase of $60 million. At Sun Life Financial, he implemented data-driven strategies that saved $10,000 monthly and improved employee onboarding experiences with a PowerBI dashboard.
