Biography
Lusine Baghdasaryan embarked on her career in industrial engineering and operations research before transitioning into supply chain and data science. With over 15 years of practical experience in mathematical modeling and data science across various industries, she has worked on supply chain management, inventory optimization, recommendation system modeling, and cost-saving projects for companies such as Bank of America, Sears, Caterpillar, Bayer, and Infosys. Currently, she holds the role of Business Systems Analyst in Supply Chain Planning at Jason Pharmaceuticals.
Lusine's teaching journey has been influenced by her industry background and her interest in bridging theory and real-world applications. Since 2020, she has been an Associate Lecturer in analytics at the School of Professional Studies at Columbia University. Before that, she taught courses like Linear and Nonlinear Programming, Engineering Economics, Production Control, Financial and Managerial Accounting. In Winter 2024, she is scheduled to teach the MEM Accounting for Engineers class at Northwestern University.
