Biography

Mr. Ranieri is a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Subject Matter Expert, engineering and construction management professional with recognized global experience providing the strategy, implementation, training and execution of the latest advances in building design technology. A technologist with an education and career beginning in manufacturing, he brings nearly 20 years of experience maximizing profitability and sustainability for construction managers, architects and engineers by defining metrics, applications, and equipment necessary to deliver work. Mr. Ranieri has managed multiple BIM implementation initiatives for AEC firms over the past 10 years, including deployments in Sao Paulo, London, and Tianjin, China. Damon brings cutting experience with the latest and most innovative technology available to the design and construction industry.

As Senior BIM Integration Manager, Mr. Ranieri leads and develops the implementation of VDC technologies within the Chicago office of Lendlease. With proven skills in both building and integrating construction models, he is vital in championing the value of exciting new tools for the pre-construction process, the early phases of coordination, providing support and tracking processes throughout the life cycle of a project, as well as fabrication and building operations. He develops project-specific BIM implementation plans and strategies including staffing, hardware and software cost forecasts, clash detection, 4D simulations, logistics, and safety analysis. Damon remains on the forefront of all BIM software, industry research and best practices, and new technologies, while demonstrating the value of these systems on all appropriate Lendlease projects.
