Biography
Edward Voboril is the chairperson of NUvention, an interdisciplinary program of McCormick's Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation that brings together faculty from McCormick, the School of Law, the Feinberg School of Medicine, and the Kellogg School of Management to develop courses where students experience the entire innovation/business life cycle from ideation to prototyping and business plan development.
He has served as chairman of the board for Greatbatch since 1997.
Previously, Voboril served as the company's chief executive officer from 1990 to August 2006. Prior to joining Greatbatch, Mr. Voboril was vice president and general manager of the biomedical division of PPG Industries. He was previously vice president and general manager of the medical electronics division of Honeywell, which was acquired by PPG.
Mr. Voboril currently serves on the board of directors of Analogic Corporation, an electronics company. Additionally, he serves on the board of directors of AdvaMed where he is a member of the executive committee and chairs the small company council. Mr. Voboril also serves on the board of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.
