Education

PhD Materials Science and Engineering, University of California, Berkeley, CA

BS Materials Science and Engineering, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL

Research Interests

My research expertise includes materials for energy storage, printed electronics, and operando materials characterization. My current research focus is in engineering education and centers on two main questions:

(1) How do we teach students expert-level cognitive skills, or colloquially put, how do we teach students to "think like an engineer"?

(2) How do authentic and simulated learning experiences shape student identity and self-perception?

Significant Recognition
