McCormick Graduate Teaching Committee

The McCormick Graduate Teaching Committee (MGTC) is a coalition of graduate teaching assistants from all departments working alongside faculty members, Erik Luijten, associate dean for research and doctoral education, and Kate Flom Derrick, assistant director of foundations in learning and teaching in the Searle Center, to address the need for centralized teaching assistant resources. We are a hub for guidance on shared values, expectations, grading, concern reporting and mediation, and departmental workshops.

Teaching assistants take on a fundamental role in the classroom. Emboldening TAs with training, resources, and feedback enhances the classroom experience for all members of the McCormick community.
