External Advisory Committee Member Recognized with AISC Award

Adjunct Faculty and Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering External Advisory Committee Member, William Baker, will deliver the 2013 T.R. Higgins Lecture the 2013 NASCC: The Steel Conference in St. Louis on April 20. The T.R. Higgins Lectureship recognizes an outstanding lecturer and author whose technical paper(s) are considered an outstanding contribution to the engineering literature on fabricated structural steel.  Those technical papers which he co-authored are Stability Design of the Bow String Trusses of the Virginia Beach Convention Center and Applications of Structural Optimization in Architectural Design.  Baker is the Structural Engineering Partner of Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill LLP in Chicago.
