ELEC_ENG 395, 495: Metamaterials and Nanophotonic Devices

Prerequisites

Basic understanding of electromagnetic concepts (ELEC_ENG 224) is recommended.

Description

AIM AND SCOPE: To introduce the students to the novel nanophotonic platforms including metamaterials, metadevices, plasmonics, photonic crystals and 2D materials. The course will provide students the fundamentals of metamaterials and plasmonics as well as emerging applications in energy, health, communication, defense and optoelectronics.
