Description

In this course, we’ll explore the fundamentals of big data frameworks and how to construct data pipelines. We’ll also delve into algorithms in data mining and machine learning. Summarizing recent research in big data applications, we’ll establish essential knowledge, concepts, and technologies relevant to the specific data analytics task. Using urban systems, particularly transportation, as a case study, we’ll illustrate these ideas clearly. More importantly, we’ll cover how to address large-scale data challenges using appropriate algorithms. The goal of this course is to master the basic data science techniques and analytical tools, applying them through hands-on experiences and projects.
