Azgar works at Google as a Technical Program Manager. He is responsible for managing critical technical programs for Google Enterprise Network. He also partners with Google Research and DeepMind for responsible AI development by evaluating products and foundation models. Prior to Google, he worked at Dept. of Science and Technology (Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Bangalore), Government of Karnataka for approximately 7.5 years. There, he partnered with different stakeholders in India, US, and Germany for science and technology outreach activities. He played a vital role in enabling India's first advanced planetarium grade scientific visualizations for science communication and outreach, working under the guidance of the leadership team at Indian Space Research Organization.
Azgar has held several leadership positions. As a student, he was President of the MEM Student Advisory Board at Northwestern. At Google, he was a member of the Leadership Workgroup for Google Enterprise Network and a member of the Change Management team. He is currently a senior member of IEEE.
Azgar is a member of several professional bodies, including: International Association of Privacy Professionals, IEEE, and American Society for Engineering Management. Additionally, he has given over 35 talks at different institutions (Twitter, Northwestern, Purdue University, among a few) on topics such as Social Network Analysis, Internet, Computing, Product Management, and Cyber Security.
