Professor Qian Jane Wang Receives the Captain Alfred E. Hunt Memorial Best Paper Award from STLE

The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers Board of Directors named Profs. Qian Jane Wang and Leon Keer together with Drs. Z.J. Wang and X.Q. Jin, the 2014 recipient of the Captain Alfred E. Hunt Memorial award for their paper titled, “A Numerical Approach for Analyzing Three-Dimensional Steady-State Rolling Contact Including Creep Using a Fast Semi-Analytical Method”. The Hunt Memorial Medal is awarded to the STLE Member or Members authoring the best paper dealing with the field of lubrication or an allied field.

The first Captain Alfred E. Hunt Memorial Medal was presented at the 1949 ASLE Annual Meeting to honor the man who was the founder and first president of Alcoa. This is her second Captain Alfred E. Hunt Memorial Medal; she received her first such a medal in 1997. It is also her 4th best paper award in the past 5 years.
