Abhishek graduated from Manipal Institute of Technology in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Machine Design. Throughout his undergraduate years, Abhishek was a part of Mars Rover Manipal, a robotics team that designs and builds autonomous Mars Rovers to compete in the University Rover Challenge (URC) series, an annual robotics competition held at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah, USA. During his internship at AI & Robotics Technology Park (ARTPARK), Abhishek was engaged in the research and development of plastic strain wave gearboxes/harmonic drives for robot actuators. Additionally, he made significant contributions to the design of a mobile platform for a social caretaker robot. His current robotics interests include computer vision, collaborative robots, and manufacturing robotics.
