Rahul Roy graduated from Manipal Institute of Technology in 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering and a minor in Robotics and Automation. During internships at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, DRDO, and the Central Research Laboratory, BEL, he immersed himself in real-world robotic navigation projects, showcasing his ability to autonomously navigate robots using the Nav 2 stack while comparing planners like DWA and TEB. His current interests lie in SLAM, autonomous navigation, and rehabilitation robotics. Rahul is enthusiastic about embracing the opportunity to delve into a wide range of fields and topics through the MSR program at Northwestern University, where he aims not only to expand his expertise but also to embark on projects that make a meaningful difference in the world.
