Shail completed his Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland. He is passionate about human-robot interactions and sensor fusion. During his undergraduate, he researched and designed a thermo-cycler for a USB-size PCR testing apparatus.

After his undergraduate, he worked as a design engineer for security systems and as an automation software engineer at Texas Instruments. During his time in industry he got a lot of experience in elevating existing available systems.

Shail’s inclination towards the growing field of robotics is to evolve existing systems and automate them.
