Wave Propagation

A large component of our technological society depends upon wave propagation: cell phones, television, and the Internet all send information from one point to another in this form. We also continue to be captivated with examples around us, such as waves in the ocean or the atmosphere.

The mathematical theory of propagating waves describes how these phenomena occur, and in the case of technological applications, how to improve their performance.
