Academics / Undergraduate Computer Science Minor
The Department of Computer Science offers minors in computer science for students who wish to develop stronger competence in computer science while pursuing a degree in another field. The minors provide essential knowledge for all computer scientists and exposes students to critical subfields of the discipline.
The minors omit the technical elective and project requirements of the major, and reduce the number of breadth courses to three. Students from both Weinberg and McCormick may complete a minor and the computer science courses required are identical. However, requirements for related math courses differ so they mesh better with the math requirements of the two schools.
